CLIL is about languages. This module will build upon the existing practices common in primary schools in language learning, using the strengths of the teachers. There is already a lot of CLIL methodology going on in most classes. Module 2 explores practices which may already exist among primary school teachers and enable trainees to use them with a CLIL focus. The final goal is to use all the approaches and the techniques to scaffold learning in CLIL classes.
There are four units in this module: Unit 1) TBL/Task-Based Learning in CLIL; Unit 2) Co-operative Learning in CLIL; Unit 3) Current Teaching Strategies; Unit 4) Scaffolding in CLIL.
