Consider the following pictures. They were all taken in an Italian primary school and show how languages (and pupils’ plurilingualism) are part of the schools cape of the school. In this activity you will analyse displayed images, objects, messages, symbols on the walls and in various areas of the school.
Step 1 - Answer the questions you will find next to each picture.
Step 2 - After considering each image carefully create a series of questions or hypotheses about how each image illustrates the presence of language(s) in the schoolscape.
